Evening Dress Hire
Many girls love the feel of wearing a glamorous dress. However it’s just hard to find somewhere to wear one. Glamorous dresses are a type of clothe that you would wear on a special occasion, a wedding, birthday or a important dinner party.
Cocktail dresses are in the category of glamorous attire. The length of a cocktail dress is not specified as some are short, some touch the ground. You wear cocktail dresses to cocktail parties, you do not wear them to black tie events. In the 1960’s and early 1970’s it was not uncommon to see a lady in a short cocktail dress at a black tie event. However times have changed and it is now unacceptable. Ball gown dresses have changed very little since the mid 19th century. There design is still very much similar. They still have the full gown look (big puffed out look) and they should be no shorter than the ankle and are preferred to touch the floor. This style of dress is very formal, in the respect that it should only be worn at ‘white tie’ events or when the invitation specifies an evening ‘evening dress’. In the 1800’s the rules were extremely strict on this matter. You had to make sure that if you wore gloves, they were opera style ones, you had to make sure that you wore a shall or cloak/cape, if you were married and you had a tiara you had to wear it. In today’s fashion, the style of dress has not changed, however, the conditions and rules as to how you have to wear it have.
