Risk Meteorologists
Meteorologists are highly trained individuals that study the earth’s atmosphere and monitor weather processes and changes. Some meteorologists stick to advising on weather reports whilst other meteorology consultants delve further into the field and study natural disasters and the circumstances surrounding them. Their findings contribute to being more prepared for future disasters and even trying to prevent them.
Risk meteorologists are experienced individuals that are specialised in a specific area of weather forecasting. They assess changes in weather and predict hazardous events both minor and major that seem likely to occur in the future. With the aid of specialist computer programmes risk meteorologists construct complex models to support and display their theories. They can then combine efforts with other organisations and the government to try and combat the problem or at the very least, prepare for it.
