Consultant Meteorologists
Consultant meteorologists are highly trained individuals that study the earth’s atmosphere and monitor weather processes and changes. Some consultant meteorologists stick to advising on weather reports whilst others delve further into the field and study natural disasters and the circumstances surrounding them. Their findings contribute to being more prepared for future disasters and even trying to prevent them.
It is to consultant meteorologists that we owe advancements in weather forecasting, which was developed in the latter half of the twentieth century. Their continual dedication to studying the earth’s atmosphere and weather also ensures the world has up to date weather forecasts every day.
In order to continue progressing forecasting methods and better understand the phenomenon of weather, consultant meteorologists look at a number of variables in the earth’s atmosphere and how they interact with each other over time including temperature, air pressure and water vapour. It is through the studies of consultant meteorologists and specialists in similar disciplines that we are aware of dangers such as global warming.
