Specialised Medical Lighting

If you’re in a hospital your primary concern is probably not the lighting but in actuality it is an extremely important part of treating patients.  Without specialised medical lighting doctors would not be able to diagnose and treat sufficiently and many medical and surgical procedures would not be able to go ahead.

As a funded institution the main lighting around the hospital is likely to be fluorescent, as it provides maximum light at minimum cost.  Specialised medical lighting equipment tends to be less common though, as each piece will have a designated purpose.  Surgical lights for example will not be found outside of the medical industry and will be especially designed for a surgical environment.  Such specialised medical lighting will be flexible and easy to sterilise and move as well as being durable, long lasting and physically unobtrusive.
