Stenograph

A stenograph is a machine used by stenographers to produce text simultaneously with a speaker. The stenograph machine has the same purpose as a Palantype machine, the only difference is that the keyboard has a different layout.

On the stenograph machine the user presses several keys at the same time to produce a chord, which represents a word. The chord is processed through a computer to produce the full word on a computer screen for the hearing impaired to read.

This system allows a deaf person to understand what a speaker is saying without being left behind or missing anything. These stenograph machines are used all over the world in situations where it is vital nobody present misses anything, like in court rooms.
