Contract Upholstery
Upholstery is the work of providing furniture with padding, springs, webbing, and fabric or leather covers. It is considered almost necessary with most furniture in order to make what would be uncomfortable furniture, much comfier to sit on. On top of this, the cover must be durable, look good and should also be comfortable as if the cover is not comfortable than the padding will not be as effective without.
Over the years upholstery has developed into an intricate process often now with different designs which take time and effort to produce, so that the consumer is happy with the product.
There are four categories to consider in the quality of an upholstered product:
- Frame
- Spring System
- Cushioning
- Fabric or Leather Cover
All of these together help to create the high quality final product.
