Contract Carpet
In general contract carpet is different to domestic carpet, which is usually more luxurious and suited to smaller spaces. Contract carpets are generally too plain for residential use but are widely used in offices as a functional but quiet flooring solution.
Unlike slate, timber, vinyl and even laminate, carpet is not as durable and cannot be wiped clean. It is not easily replaced like carpet tiles and needs specialist machinery to deep clean it on a regular basis but on the whole is still a cost effective solution.
Contract carpet is not generally used in high traffic areas but can be seen in commercial areas such as showrooms to add a splash of colour. Although not as impressive looking as other forms of commercial flooring, contract carpet is popular because it is traditional and available in an endless range of patterns and colours.
