Website Hosting
To host a website means to provide space on a server for people to be able to view your website. The World Wide Web is made up of lots of space, which is occupied by websites. To be able to get some space you would have to go to a hosting company, they would allocate you with a certain amount of this space on their server to put your website out. This happens at the server (computer) where you html (hypertext markup language) files are stored along with the graphics and copy etc. The bigger the space the bigger the site can be. You would then upload the site to shared server. The ISP (internet server provider) make sure from this point that the internet connection is fast and consistent.
