The keywords are what someone would type into a search engine to find your site. Search engine marketing is very important when getting clients for your business. If you are on the first page and are one of the top listings, then people are more than likely to click on your site rather then searching page after page for business that all do the same sort of work.
By optimising a site, you are putting in the keywords as many times as possible to ensure that your site is in the top 30 listings, preferably the top 10. The content of your copy on the site should still make sense. It is best to get as many keywords in the first and last paragraphs on your home page. This way the search engines will be more than likely to pick them up. Competition is always very high. Everyone is competing for the same keywords as you, and each of them want the top spot. It is very important that you keep your eye on where your site is listing each month. If you start to slip down the list then you will have to optimise your site further.
