PCB Identification Labels
Printed circuit board or PCB identification labels have to be specially engineered to resist the harsh environments encountered when processing printed circuit boards. They carry information vital to the inventory and process control as well as details about customer specifications, so damage could cause errors further down the line.
PCB’s are exposed to high temperatures throughout their production and the labels used have to survive the process. Dependent on the stresses placed on the end application, PCB identification labels can also be created with chemical resistance, dielectric properties and mechanical strength.
Most industries nowadays are subject to quality assurance and must be accredited with certain certification before supplying components and services. Manufacturers of PCB identification labels are not an exception to the rule, as there are rigorous quality procedures in place, environmental policies to adhere to and many health and safety rules to abide by.
