Automotive Nuts and Bolts

Cars, vans and lorries are made up of hundreds of parts including small fasteners, nuts and bolts, each of which have to made to the highest quality in order for the vehicle to work properly and safely. Automotive nuts and bolts may be small but the tiniest fault could still cause a malfunction and therefore a potentially fatal accident.  For example, if nuts and bolts are not tightened and secured properly they can become loose and may leave parts unsecure.

Quality standards that automotive fasteners, nuts and bolts must be built to include:

  • QS9000
  • TS16949:2002
  • ISO9001:2000
  • ISO14001:2004

Automotive nuts and bolts are also designed specifically for the motor racing industry.  Due to the extra pressure on the formula 1 cars for example, manufacturers have to be especially vigilant about the quality of their automotive nuts and bolts.
