Alarm Response

Alarm response is the reaction of the employed security company when one of their client’s alarms is activated, indicating suspicious behaviour. The reaction to the alarm depends on the type of alarm that is installed, if it is a level 1 alarm then the police will react immediately. If it is level 2 then the police are informed but they may prioritise other emergencies first andĀ if it is a level 3 alarm then only the key-holder is notified.

The security firm will be well trained in alarm response policies and if they have been employed as a keyholder as well, are likely to be present if the police are required or check the premises if the alarm is a level 3. Alarm response is an important issue for many homes and companies; homes and business with expensive assets require a high level of security and rapid alarm response.
