Barcode Scanners
Barcode scanners are the key part of a barcode scanning system. A barcode scanner is comprised of a light source and a lens, converting optical information into electrical information. The barcode scanner is the input for the entire barcode scanning system, as they recognize the input from the barcode.
Barcode scanners can use any kind of light souce, but lasers are frequently used because of their precision. Barcode scanners have been in use since the 70s and are commonly found in supermarkets and other retail stores, as well as industrial warehouses and factories.
